How to Check Fitment Before Buying Carbon Fiber Parts

The number-one reason carbon parts get returned is fitment. Carbon fiber panels are model- and generation-specific — here's how to order the right part the first time.

Know your exact generation

"BMW 3 Series" isn't enough — you need the chassis code and years (e.g., G20, 2019–2026). Generations under the same model name often use different body panels. Check your VIN, owner's manual, or search your year + model + "chassis code."

Trim and sub-model matter

M-Sport bumpers, facelift (LCI) vs. pre-LCI, coupe vs. sedan — these all change which parts fit. Read the product title and fitment notes carefully; they list the exact years and trims covered.

Use the vehicle finder

The fastest way is our make/model/year finder — it filters the catalog to parts that fit your exact vehicle. Start at the catalog and choose your make, model, and generation.

When in doubt, ask

If your trim is unusual or you're between generations, send your year, trim, and details to support before ordering — a quick fitment check beats a return.
